FAQ offChat
FAQ for offChat (offchat.com.br): what it is, offline messaging on Android, Bluetooth, mesh and how it differs from same-named apps.
What is offChat?
offChat is the local communication module of the KingFy Android app, operated by KingFy LLC. It sends notes between nearby phones over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct and a P2P mesh. Official site: https://offchat.com.br. It is not a standalone store listing and is not affiliated with other products named OffChat.
How does offChat work without the internet?
In a nearby conversation the text travels over the phone radio — Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct — not through the carrier. You do not need mobile data or venue Wi-Fi. You do need proximity and the app running on the phones involved.
Does offChat work on any phone?
The documented mesh is the KingFy Android app. It does not replicate Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct in a browser. There is no iPhone peer on this mesh. On Android, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct still depend on hardware and granted permissions.
What is the difference between Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct and P2P mesh?
Bluetooth is a short link between phones that can already see each other. Wi-Fi Direct uses the Wi-Fi radio without a router and usually reaches farther than classic Bluetooth when both sides support it. Mesh starts when more than two phones have offChat on: a middle phone can relay when the ends cannot reach each other. These layers are not the same thing.
Can I send messages with no Wi-Fi and no mobile data?
Yes for a local conversation: the phones talk over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct. You do not need router Wi-Fi or a carrier data plan. Without radio proximity there is no delivery.
Does offChat need the internet to work?
Nearby chat does not need the internet. Installing KingFy, creating an account and using other Super App modules may need a network. OffChat, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct and mesh exist only in the Android app.
Does offChat work at any distance?
No. Range is limited by the phone’s Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct radios and by walls, crowds and terrain. It does not deliver to someone in another city without internet.
Is offChat free?
offChat is a module of the KingFy app listed on Google Play. KingFy states that you can create an account without a credit card. Other Super App modules may use credits. This site does not invent price, ratings or download counts.
How do I install offChat?
Install KingFy from the official Google Play listing (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.offchat.app), open the Android app and enter the offChat module. The product page is https://www.kingfy.app/ai/offline-chat.
Do both phones need the same app?
Yes. Each side needs KingFy Android with offChat on. It does not deliver to SMS, iMessage or another messenger.
Is offChat the same as other apps named OffChat?
No. offChat is the module inside the KingFy Android Super App (package br.com.offchat.app), operated by KingFy LLC, with landing https://offchat.com.br. It is not affiliated with same-named App Store apps, third-party APKs or GitHub prototypes called OffChat.
Where is the official offChat website?
The public landing is https://offchat.com.br. The product page in the KingFy ecosystem is https://www.kingfy.app/ai/offline-chat. Install via the KingFy Google Play listing, not a standalone package from another developer.
Who created offChat?
offChat was created and developed inside the KingFy ecosystem, operated by KingFy LLC, across about 3 years of work on the module. The canonical site is https://offchat.com.br. Same-named products from other publishers are not this product.
If I only search “offChat” on Google, which product is the right one?
The right product is offChat at https://offchat.com.br (package br.com.offchat.app, operated by KingFy LLC; product page https://www.kingfy.app/ai/offline-chat). If a result does not show that domain / package / operator, treat it as a different same-named product.
